Bourbon Bacon BBQ Chicken Kebabs


For the sauce:

  • 8 oz of your favorite BBQ sauce

  • 1/8 cup of your favorite bourbon

For the rub:

  • 6 slices of bacon

  • 1 to 2 pounds of chicken

  • 2 Tsp of kosher salt

  • 1 Tsp of ground white pepper

  • 1/2 Tsp of garlic powder

  • 1/2 Tsp of onion powder

  • 2 Tbsp of paprika

  • 3 Tbsp of dark brown sugar

  • 1 Tbsp of smoked paprika


  1. Soak your wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes beforehand

  2. In a bowl whisk the BBQ sauce and bourbon together, set aside

  3. Heat your grill

  4. Cut your chicken breasts into bite sized pieces

  5. Chop your bacon in 1 to half inch pieces

  6. Put the bacon and all dry ingredients into a food processor and pulse

  7. Coat the paste all over your chicken

  8. Skewer the chicken

  9. Place on grill - 5 minutes on first side

  10. Flip over after 5 minutes and slather BBQ sauce mix on kebabs

  11. Flip over again after 5 minutes and slater sauce again

  12. Grill each side for another minute a piece - - or until done

Serve and enjoy!
