We put an Asian twist on a southern favorite - Okra...with bacon, of course!
Here's how to make this dish:
INGREDIENTS:
Okra
Bacon - 5 or 6 slices
Sausage - half a pound
Peppers half of your favorite pepper
Ginger and garlic
Soy sauce
DIRECTIONS:
Cut up and fry your bacon in a pan
Slice the ends off the okra and cut in thirds
Slice up your sausage in bite size pieces
Slice /chop up your garlic and ginge
When some fat has rendered off the bacon, push it to one side and add the peppers, garlic and ginger. Let fry for a minute or so.
Then ad the okra. Let cook for one minute
Then combine all ingredients and stir together for another minute
Then add a teaspoon or two of soy sauce. Combine.
Turn off heat and plate.
Serve while hot! Enjoy!
