How to Make Bacon Cheese Biscuits
These are easy and delightful! Great breakfast or snack! Good for Brunch! They look so pretty! Here's how to make them; INGREDIENTS: -4 or 5 strips of bacon (or pre-made bacon bits) -4 oz of cream cheese (softened) -1 egg -1 Tbsp of milk -1/4 cup of shredded swiss cheese -1 Tbsp of dried minced onion -1 Roma tomato (de-seeded and diced) -1 can of flaky biscuits DIRECTIONS: -Fry your bacon, drain on paper towel and set aside -Once bacon is cool , crumble into bits -De-seed and dice your tomato (divide into two halves) -Take a bowl and combine the cream cheese, egg and milk -Beat together until smooth with a hand mixer -Once smooth, add bacon bits, cheese, inon and half of the tomato -Mix together and set aside -Spray a muffin tin with cooking oil -Open the can of biscuits -If using a mini muffin tin, divide biscuits into quarters -If not, don't divide biscuis -Press dough into tin -Fill each one with the mixture, top w/remaining half of diced tomato -Bake in 375 degree oven for 14 to 18 minutes (just keep checking them) -Remove from oven, let cool and plate them and serve! ENJOY!
How to Make Bacon Cinnamon Rolls
Simple and delicious! Great for breakfast, brunch or just when you are in the mood for something sweet and savory! INGREDIENTS: -5-8 slices of bacon (depending on how many rolls you have) -1 can of cinnamon rolls -1/2 cup of powdered sugar -1/4 cup of maple syrup -1 Tbsp of melted butter DIRECTIONS: -Preheat oven to 375 degrees -Open the can of cinammon rolls and carefully unravel them -You can par bake or fry the bacon if you would like it crispier -Place the unrolled roll onto a slice of bacon and roll it up -Place in a baking dish -Place dish in oven for 17 - 25 minutes FOR THE FROSTING -Put the powdered sugar in a small bowl -Add the maple syrup and butter -Mix well -Once rolls are out of oven - pour frosting all over. ENJOY!
How to Make Bacon Potato Soup
It's getting to be the perfect time for comfort foods! This loaded bacon potato soup will be a crown pleaser. Try it! INGREDIENTS: -8 strips of bacon -8 red (or your favorite type of) potato -Half a large onion -1 can of evaporated milk -1 cup of whole milk -2 cups of chicken broth -green onions for garnish -2 garlic cloves -sour cream -salt and pepper DIRECTIONS: -In a soup pot, fry up the bacon (you can pre chop if you like) -When bacon is done, leave some drippings in pot and blot bacon on paper towel -Dice your onions and garlic and saute in the soup pot after bacon is out -Add 2 cups of chicken stock and bring to a boil. Reduce and simmer for 15 minutes or so -Slice and add your potato slices -Keep simmering another 10 minutes or so -Add the can of evaporated milk and whole milk -Simmer and add the cheese and bacon bits -Add some salt and pepper -Simmer another 10-15 minutes but keep stirring! Once done you can ladle it out into a soup bowl and garnish with a dollop of sour cream, sprinkle green onions, sprinkle more cheese and bacon bits on top. -Serve and enjoy!
Bacon Wrapped Alligator
Yep! It tastes like chicken! LOL. We decided to wrap bacon around some alligator meat we received from our friends....because....why not? Here's how we made it: INGREDIENTS: -Alligator meat -Bacon -Your favorite BBQ sauce For the marinade -3/4 cup orange juice -2 Tbs soy sauce -2 Tbs brown sugar -1/4 Tsp Cayenne pepper -1 Tsp cumin DIRECTIONS: -Soak skewers in water for at least 30 minutes -Make marinade. Add all ingredients (except bacon) in a zip lock bag. Let marinate for 2-4 hours. -Then skewer the alligator meat and wrap the bacon around the skewer -Heat up your grill to med-high heat -Brush the skewers with BBQ sauce -Place the skewers on the grill. Rotate every 2 minutes or so. Don't overcook the alligator. It's a lean meat and will get tough if overcooked! Enjoy!
How To Make Bacon Cream Cheese Roll Ups
This is a super easy and yummy treat to make with any meal or for any occasion! Here's how; INGREDIENTS: -8 slices of bacon -1 can of crescent rolls (8 rolls) -1 8 oz of softened cream cheese -3/4 Tbsp of garlic powder -3/4 Tbsp of onion powder -1 Tbsp parsley flakes -2 Tbsp of milk HOW TO MAKE; -Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees -Fry up your bacon, let cool and crumble - set aside -Put your cream cheese in a bowl -Add the bacon, dry ingredients and milk and mix thoroughly -Open you can of cresecent rolls and lay them out flat -Put a dollop of the mixture at the wider end of the roll -Roll them up and place in oven for 13 - 15 minutes -Let cool, serve and enjoy!
How to Make Caribbean Shrimp & Bacon Wrapped Pineapple
These skewers cooked on the grill are amazing! Sweet, juicy, smokey with that caribbean heat! YUM! Here's how to make them: INGREDIENTS: For the marinade -Place your shrimp in a zip lock bag -Add 2 Tbsp of Barrier Reef Seasoning (from Savory Spice Shop) --Add 6 Tbsp of olive oil -Add 4 Tbsp or white wine -Add 1 Tbsp of worcestshire sauce -Add 1 Tbsp of fresh squeezed lemon juice -A dash of salt Mix the shrimp and all ingredients. Refrigerate for 30 min - to an hour. No longer though so you don't cook the shrimp in the bag from the lemon juice. NEXT: -Have your wooden skewers soaking in a cup for at least 30 minutes. -Cook your bacon strips - - until about half way done. Set aside to cool -Slice the pineapple into 1/4 wedges -Wrap each wedge with the bacon and put on skewer -Then add a shrimp to the skewer -Keep alternating the bacon wrapped pineapple wedge and shrimp. -Cook on a grill at medium heat. Maybe one minute per side (or until shrimp is pink and bacon done) -Place on a platter and squeeze half a lime over the skewers. Serve and enjoy!
Turkey Bacon Burger
How to make a healthy and delicious bacon burger! INGREDIENTS: -1 pound of lean ground turkey -5 or 6 slices of your favorite bacon -1/4 cup panko -1/2 Tsp black pepper -1 Tsp garlic powder -1 Tsp onion powder -Low carb whole wheat wraps -A few slices of red onion -Handful of organic arugula FOR THE BACON AOLI: -1/2 cup greek yogurt -Crumbled bacon bits -1 Tsp garlic powder -1 to 2 Tbsp dijon mustard -1 Tbsp of brown sugar -The juice of half a lemon -Dash of salt INSTRUCTIONS: -Add the panko, black pepper, garlic and onion powders & bacon bits to your ground turkey in a bowl. -MIx them all together with your hands and form 4 patties -Place the burgers on the grill or a fry pan at medium heat -Cook all sides and cut in half and stand the burgers up to cook inside -Meanwhile you can make the sauce (pref the night before) -Add the garlic powder, bacon bits, dijon, salt, brown sugar and lemon juice to your greek yogurt in a small mixing bowl. Blend well. Refrigerate overnight if possible or for at least a few hours. -Then take your wrap and spread the aoli on the wrap. -Place a handful of arugula on the wrap. -Place two turkey burger halves - line them up in the wrap -Top burger with more aoli and a few red onion slices -Put the wrap together and serve!
