How to Make Bacon Wrapped Twinkies
We wanted to see what bacon wrapped fried Twinkies would taste like - so we made them! Here's how - pretty self explanatory though! LOL INGREDIENTS: -Bacon and Twinkies! -Oil for frying -Toothpicks to secure the bacon INSTRUCTIONS: -Wrap your twinkies with the bacon. Try to cover as much of the cake as possible. -Secure loose ends with toothpicks. -Fry until golden brown or til you reach your desired level of bacon crispiness! -Drain on paper towel and let cool. SERVE and ENJOY! It's that easy!
How to Make Bacon Egg Rolls
These crispy, delicious bacon "egg rolls" are flavorful and easy to make! Flexible recipe as you can add or omit your favorite ingredients. Here's how to make them: INGREDIENTS -Bacon (I used 5 strips for 7 egg rolls) -Wonton wrappers -Cabbage -Carrots -Red onion -Bean sprouts -Ginger and garlic -Salt & Pepper INSTRUCTIONS -Heat avocado oil to 350 degrees in a fry pan -Shred/slice your cabbage carrots -Dice your red onion,garlic and ginger -Saute the cabbage and carrots for a few minutes -Add your bean sprouts, oniion , garlic & ginger -Add salt and pepper to taste -Saute all for a few more minutes, turn off heat and let cool -Place some of the mixture in the middle of your wrapper -Roll it up - deep fry til golden brown. -Remove and let rest on a paper towel. -Serve with your fave dipping sauce!
Deep Fried Bacon Wrapped Peanut Butter Oreos
We wanted to see what the fuss is all about. Deep fried peanut butter oreo cookies wrapped in bacon! Here's how you make them; INGREDIENTS: -Use your favorite Oreo flavor -Use your favorite bacon -Oil for frying -Toothpicks to hold the bacon onto the cookie DIRECTIONS: -Heat oil to 350 degrees -Wrap bacon around each cookie and secure with a toothpick -Drop in oil and fry until desired crispiness level -Remove from oil and lay on paper towel to drain -Let cool and enjoy!
Bacon Onion Bombs
What could be better than Bacon Onion Bombs? So flavorful and easy to make! Ya gotta try this! Here's how you make it; INGREDIENTS: -1 pound of bacon -1 pound of ground beef -1/3 cup of your fave BBQ sauce -2 large onions -1 Tbsp of garlic powder -Sale & Pepper -Green onion for garnish DIRECTIONS -Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees -Cut the top & bottom off of your onions and remove outer skin -Carefully unwrap each layer -Place the ground beef in a bowl -Add the BBQ sauce, garlic powder, salt & pepper -Mix well -Ball up the mixture and wrap each onion "sleeve" around it -Then wrap the whole thing with bacon -Place on a baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes -Remove from oven and glaze with additional BBQ sauce -Put back in oven at 400 degrees for 10 minutes -Remove, let cool and garnish with green onion slices ENJOY!
Bacon, Crab & Spinach Dip
Super delicious and great to make for any occasion! Versatile too so you can change up the ingredients to customize to your taste buds! Here 's how we made it; INGREDIENTS: -5-6 strips of bacon -8 oz of crab meat -8 oz of cream cheese -1 pkg of frozen spinach -1/4 of a red onion -2-3 garlic cloves -1/2 cup of mayo -1/2 lime (for the juice) -1/2 Tsp smoked paprika -Fresh cracked black pepper - Bread crumbs or panko for topping -1 green onion -1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese -1/4 cup of shaved parmesan cheese DIRECTIONS: -Preheat oven to 350 degrees -Fry the bacon, set aside on paper towels to drain -When bacon is cool - crumble into small pieces -Reserve some bacon grease and sautee onions and garlic -In a baking dish add the softened cream cheese, onions & garlic -Drain spinach well and add to mixture -Add crab meat and crumbled bacon (reserve a little of both for garnish) -Squeeze half a lime in the mixture -Add the smoked paprika and black pepper -Mix really well -Add some parmesan cheese and bread crumbs to the top -Bake for about 30 minutes -Remove from oven and add some mozzarella cheese to the top -Sprinkle the reserved bacon bits and crab meat to the top -Sprinkle the sliced green onion on top for additional garnish -Serve with sturdy crackers or veggies. Enjoy! You can use whatever you like in this versatile recipe! So add artichokes, change up the cheeses, add broccoli - whatevs! Do it people!
Bacon Corn Fritters
An old favorite with a bacon twist! These bacon corn fritters with a honey mustard dipping sauce are delicious and filling! Easy to make - here's how! INGREDIENTS: -4-5 bacon strips -1 cup of flour -2 eggs -1 Tbsp corn starch -1 Tsp baking soda -1 1/4 cups of corn (frozen or from can) -1/2 cup of mayo -1/4 cup of honey -1/4 cup of yellow mustard -Salt/Pepper (optional) - I used bacon salt INSTRUCTIONS: FOR SAUCE: -Make the dipping sauce ahead of time. -Place the mayo, honey and mustard in a bowl -Add a dash of salt/pepper if you like -Mix together well, put in fridge for a few hours FOR FRITTERS: -Fry the bacon, drain on papertowel, set aside -Add the flour, eggs, corn, corn starch, baking soda, salt/pepper (bacon salt) and bacon in a food processor -Blend together well -Heat oil in pan to 350 degrees (I just added some oil to the bacon drippings pan) -Place dollops of the batter into the pan and fry both sides until golden brown. -Place on paper towel to drain -Platter them up, serve with the honey mustard dipping sauce ENJOY!
2021 BaCON Festival, Cleveland TN
Destination Bacon had big fun at the 2021 BaCON Festival in Cleveland, TN. So many delicious foods, music/entertainment and arts/crafts vendors. We certainly enjoyed eating our way through it and meeting lots of nice folks that love bacon, too! Great to see old friends, too! Check it out!
