We made Bacon Caramel Brownies

These were so moist, chocolatey and delicious! You need to try this recipe! Here's how we made ours; INGREDIENTS: For the bacon: -8 strips -1/4 cup of brown sugar For the brownie mix: -11 oz of dark chocolate -1 cup of softened unsalted butter -1 1/2 cups of sugar -1/2 cup light brown sugar -5 large eggs -2 Tsp vanilla extract -1 1/4 cups of all purpose flour -1 Tsp of salt -2 Tbs of dark unsweetened cocoa powder -Caramel sauce for drizzling DIRECTIONS: -Put your bacon in a ziplock bag and add the 1/4 cup of brown sugar. -Mix until well coated. -Place bacon strips on a baking rack -Place in a 375 degree oven for 15-20 minutes (depending upon the thickness of your bacon) -Remove, let cool and chop into small bite sized pieces -In a mixing bowl, whisk the flour, salt and cocoa powder together -Break up the chocolate into small pieces -Slice butter into small pads -In a microwavable bowl, combine the chocolate and unsalted butter -Microwave the two in 30 second increments until totally melted. Stir -Add the sugars, mix well and let cool -Once cool, add 3 of the 5 eggs and mix with a spatula -Fold the flour mixture into the chocolate mix -Grease a 9" x 13" pan with butter, then line it with parchment paper -Pour half of the mixture into the pan -Drizzle the caramel sauce and then sprinkle half of your bacon on top -Top it with the second half of the brownie mixture -Repeat caramel sauce and bacon sprinkles -Place in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Rotate at the 15 minute mark -Bake until toothpick comes out pretty clean -Let cool completely and cut into squares -Serve and enjoy!
